The CW recently announced its 2020-2021 schedule, revealing that their shows, including the Arrowverse lineup, will be delayed to January of next year. Though the coronavirus pandemic might have caused some shift in schedule, a crossover is seemingly going to happen, but this time, it's on a much smaller scale.

During a network's scheduling call (via Deadline), The CW chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz revealed that they are planning on a crossover event featuring two superheroes. "We're still working on it," he said. "It will be a smaller event than usual, we're only planning a two-hour event."

However, Pedowitz noted that it would not happen in December because of production shutdown, but he did note that he's hoping for it to be in the first or second quarter of 2021. "We are talking about doing Superman and Batwoman together," he added. "There's a lot of characters coming from our other shows."

As mentioned, it is much smaller compared to the most recent Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, a five-hour event that saw the heroes Arrow, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman come together.

Based on Pedowitz's comment, it remains unclear whether this crossover has been officially set. That being said, a team-up between Batwoman and Superman makes sense given that the former has some sort of established relationship with the Man of Steel's cousin, Supergirl. In addition, both these shows are the network's freshman dramas.
