The CW To Add Another Arrowverse Series After Arrow Final Season

It might be the end for Arrow but that doesn't mean that things are going downhill from there. The CW still has every intention to add more Arrowverse shows in the future and the network already has plans for its possible replacement.

The CW president Mark Pedowitz confirmed at the TCA Summer Press Tour that the network is already planning for the future of Arrowverse and it all starts with Ruby Rose's standalone series (via The Hollywood Reporter).

"Batwoman is the next evolution. It's the next step to do something. We believe that this universe will continue for many years," Pedowitz said, adding that Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow are all expected to go on for years to come. "How that universe plays out, time will tell."

Interestingly, Pedowitz confirmed that another DC show will be pursued although he cannot make an official announcement just yet.

"Nothing is ever 100 percent done," Pedowitz said. "You learn that over time. There's a possibility, but we haven't had a discussion about what that storyline will do as [we plot the] next generation [of DC shows]. There is another property we're looking at for the following season."

So what could the new Arrowverse spinoff series be about? It might be too early to tell but some believe that we'll get our first clue when the crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths begins later this year. A new character could be introduced as a way of preparing fans for the new show.

The Arrowverse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths kicks off with the Supergirl episode which premieres on The CW on December 8.
