Colin Farrell has previously entered the Marvel Universe as Bullseye in the Daredevil movie, now, he'll join its competition, also as a villain. The actor is set to play one of the most iconic DC villains in Matt Reeves' The Batman, Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a the Penguin. In a recent interview, he talked about his excitement in finally becoming part of the franchise that he has loved since he was a kid.

"It's all exciting," Farrell told GMA News. "To be a part of that universe and just there are certain words that are part of my internal lexicon: Gotham City, Penguin, Joker, Batman, Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent, all these things."

Farrell says he had plenty of Batman content to consume growing up, from Tim Burton to Adam West's works. "Tim Burton's Batman was kind of my, no, I watched the Adam West TV show growing up actually as well," he added. "So Batman as a kid, yes very much, not in comic book form but the TV show I watched ardently when I was a child. And then in my teens, I saw Burton's version and loved it."

While he's excited to be part of the franchise and to continue filming for The Batman again, Farrell revealed that he hasn't "got that much to do" in the film and only has a "certain amount" in it. That being said, the actor teased he has a "couple of some tasty scenes" in the movie.
