Production for The Batman is currently halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn't stop fans from getting excited about Matt Reeves' upcoming movie. Plot details are scarce and the whole cast and characters haven't been revealed yet, but actor Colin Farrell provides a bit of insight to his role as Penguin, admitting that he doesn't have a big part in the movie.

In a recent interview with GMA News, Farrell talked about his role in The Batman. "I had only started it and I can't wait to get back," he said. "The creation of it, the aesthetic of the character, has been fun and I really am so excited to get back and explore it."

"And I haven't got that much to do," the actor revealed. "I have a certain amount in the film. I am not all over it by any means." That being said, Farrell says he has a "couple of some tasty scenes" and teased that his role is something he hasn't had the "opportunity to explore before."

Farrell is seemingly only in a couple of weeks of filming as well, which has been on an indefinite hiatus because of the pandemic. However, he "can't wait to get back" since he is only "at the start of the journey."

It isn't surprising for Farrell to have a smaller role in The Batman, considering that the film is packed with popular DC characters such as Catwoman and another villain Riddler. However, fans can't wait to see his performance and final look as Penguin.

The Batman is currently set for release on October 1, 2021.
