The Batman Star Robert Pattinson Reportedly Having Trouble Bulking Up For DC Film

We're all used to seeing a jacked-up Batman, right? Christian Bale and Ben Affleck famously got jacked when they had to play the Caped Crusader in their respective films. However, things might be a little more difficult for Robert Pattinson. A new report claims that the Twilight star is having trouble bulking up for his upcoming Matt Reeves movie.

A new video has pointed out that Warner Bros. is still trying to get Pattinson to chug on protein shakes and hit the gym. However, that's simply not happening since the Lighthouse actor just doesn't have the right body type for it.

"I've also heard that Robert Pattinson is having a little bit of trouble bulking up," the reporter said. "I think it's probably impossible for him to fully bulk up because he just has a slight build, but I think it's hilarious they are like, ‘Maybe if we gave him a few more weeks, he might bulk up'. If he hasn't bulked up by now, he's not going to bulk up. Just accept you have skinny Batman and deal with it."

Now, now, maybe Pattinson can get properly jacked if he wanted to (if former skinny dude James McAvoy can do it for Split, anything is possible). However, the character doesn't really need to look like he could bench 200 lbs without breaking a sweat (case in point: Michael Keaton in Batman Returns). Hopefully, Warner Bros. will learn to accept that this version of Batman is not going to be built like a Greek god.

The Batman is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
