The Batman New Trailer Finally Reveals Andy Serkis' Alfred Pennyworth

It has been a long time since we got any update on The Batman. Luckily, a new trailer was dropped at CinemaCon 2021 and it offers the first glimpse at Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

Serkis was confirmed to join the cast of The Batman as Bruce Wayne's most trusted ally back in 2019. The Lord of the Rings star was an interesting choice considering that Alfred has always had a classic, rather formal look in comics, films, and shows.

With that in mind, fans have been hoping to see Serkis as Alfred for a long time but the character did not appear in the first trailer. Luckily, the footage dropped at CinemaCon 2021 finally featured Alfred.

The Batman featurette was screened during Warner Bros.' panel at CinemaCon 2021. It shows director Matt Reeves talking about how Robert Pattinson portrays Bruce in the film. Additionally, there is new footage including Pattinson removing his cowl and the Batmobile racing into action.

The teaser is described as being very exciting and insightful into The Batman. Unfortunately, the new featurette has not yet been released by Warner Bros. after the event.

So when can we expect to see the new Batman featurette? Fans believe it could be dropped very soon to keep people's interest in the film from fading. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Batman will also star Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, and Colin Farrell. The film is scheduled for release on March 4, 2022.
