The Batman Finds Its Catwoman With Zoe Kravitz

Ever since Robert Pattinson was announced as the new Batman, everyone has been waiting for months for news on who else will be joining him in Matt Reeves' film. Just in, news has dropped that the movie has finally found someone to play Selina Kyle.

According to Variety, Zoe Kravitz (Mad Max: Fury Road, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) has been cast as Catwoman for the solo Batman film. We don't have any more specific details on the role yet, but Kravitz's casting does confirm the rumor that WB was looking for a woman of color to play the role of Gotham's master cat burglar.

Kravitz joins a cast that, so far, only has Pattinson officially involved. Rumors have come out that Jonah Hill is being tapped to play the Riddler, but nothing official has pushed through. It's also said that the film is looking at Pattinson's Tenet co-star John David Washington to play Two-Face/Harvey Dent and Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) to play Commissioner Gordon.

With the DCEU slowly getting back on its feet with hits like Shazam! and the most recent Joker, a lot of pressure is on Matt Reeves to deliver a solid Batman movie; especially counting that fans loved Ben Affleck's take on the character. I have no doubt that Pattinson will do a great job, and hopefully, his Batman would come clashing with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker—should WB choose to make that happen.

Catch The Batman when it comes out on June 25, 2021.
