The Avengers Exist in Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4 Game

When Spider-Man PS4 was first announced, fans started searching for clues about any possible cameos that could happen in this superhero game. Some eagle-eyed viewers were able to find the Sanctum Sanctorum of Doctor Strange and now we have confirmation on Avengers Tower, which should make those bitter about the lack of Avengers: Project news feel a bit better.

Easter eggs in a Marvel game are about as surprising as birds in the sky but it's cool knowing that Earth's Mightiest Heroes could be making an appearance in the game. The latest trailer of Spider-Man PS4 did tease someone coming to Peter Parker's rescue after a beatdown from his signature bad guys, with many hoping that it will be Iron Man.

If it is the Avengers who end up helping Spidey out, it would be great and sensical. After all, The Raft is a huge supervillain prison and it wouldn't be too hard to imagine the group making their presence known since the public is in danger.

Comic book fans also know that a breakout involving supervillains did lead to Spider-Man being a part of The Avengers. Under current Superman scribe Brian Michael Bendis' pen, Spidey was the comedic foil of the New Avengers comic who also provided plenty of heart. If this game is teasing a New Avengers-like team-up, expect many to be happy.

Spider-Man PS4 comes out on September 7.
