It may not be on the level of shows like Jujutsu Kaisen and Frieren, but The Apothecary Diaries is still one of the breakout hits of Fall 23. For fans who want to show off their love for the series, The Apothecary Diaries has new merch, including a recreation of Maomao’s hairpin courtesy of Movic.
This new merch collab was revealed recently on the Movic website where images of the hairpin as well as pre-order details were shared.
The Movic accessory isn’t the only new merch for the anime though, as fans are being treated to lots of cool collectibles.
The Apothecary Diaries Inspires Merch Lines
Animated by OLM (of Odd Taxi and Summer Time Rendering fame), The Apothecary Diaries has become a stand-out show of the season thanks to its impressive animation, unique story, and loveable characters.
The show's protagonist, Maomao, is a memorable character thanks to her unique personality and incredible medical skills.
Thus, it’s no surprise that the show’s merch collabs are centered around Maomao. For starters, there’s the new collection with SuperGroupies featuring a shoulder bag and a watch.
The Apothecary Diaries shoulder bag is colored green with red accents, inspired by Maomao’s outfit. It also features embossed herb designs that are a reference to Maomao’s hobby.
Meanwhile, the watch also has a green color. The watch face features an eye-catching look inspired by the anime’s Ancient China setting.
These SuperGroupies items are available for pre-order now until December 18 via the official website.

Movic and The Apothecary Diaries Team Up for Real-Life Maomao Hairpin Merch
For fans who want a piece of merch that comes straight out of the anime, the Movic hairpin is definitely going to be more their style.
This is a recreation of the silver hairpin that Jinshi gives to Maomao in Episode 5.
Instead of being just a nice display piece, it’s a usable hairpin for those with long hair. Fans can also use it as an accessory for their clothes.
Fans who want one can pre-order it now for JPY 3,300 (or around USD 24) via the official website. Pre-orders are available now until December 27, 2023.
This new Apothecary Diaries merch will be released on March 1, 2024. As with most anime merch collabs, this will likely be limited to Japan.
