The upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte has recruited Arrowverse actor David Harewood to join the cast according to a new report.
A lot of fans have been anticipating the series since it is the first major Star Wars project that is set in the High Republic era and offers a different take on the Jedis and Siths.
It also bolsters a stellar cast including the likes of Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Dafne Keen (Logan), and many more.

David Harewood Reportedly Joins the Cast of The Acolyte
Reporter Jeff Sneider revealed in The Hot Mic podcast that Harewood, who is known for playing Martin Manhunter in Supergirl, is joining the cast of The Acolyte.
He didn't provide the details regarding the character that he is playing in the series, but it is described as a "small role."
So far, Lucasfilm has not commented on the Arrowverse vet's reported casting in the series.
While Harewood might only have a "small role," it is still exciting to hear him possibly joining the cast of the series since he is a talented actor as proven by his performance in the Arrowverse.
It is interesting to see whether he will end up playing a Jedi character or someone on the Sith side or simply a human character that one of the leads will cross paths with at some point.
We will likely be hearing more details about the series and Harewood's role in the coming weeks as we're getting closer to its release.
The Acolyte is set to premiere with two episodes on Disney+ this June 4.
