Taika Waititi Confirms When Thor: Love and Thunder Begins FIlming

One of the highly-anticipated movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 is Thor: Love and Thunder. Set for a 2021 release, reports have gone around before which suggests that the movie will start filming this summer. And now, director Taika Waititi confirms the official filming date.

"I've just finished shooting this film, a sports film in Hawaii with Michael Fassbender," Waititi told The Wrap in a recent interview. "In August, I start shooting another Thor film."

There you have it. With only a few months to go, Marvel fans are very much excited to learn more about the movie as the filming starts, and they'd surely be on the lookout for some set photos.

For now, there isn't much known about Love and Thunder, although the director revealed in a previous interview that the sequel will be "bigger, bolder, and brighter." He also teased that "some really crazy stuff" will be in the film. Natalie Portman will be reprising her role as Jane Foster, who will become the female Thor. In addition, recent reports also got around regarding Dark Knight star Christian Bale in talks to join the cast. However, the character he would potentially play is yet to be revealed.
