The K-Drama, Sweet Home, has proven itself to be a worthwhile show especially since it comes at a time with so many zombie shows. Now that a release date has been announced for season 2, let's take a look back at Sweet Home ending and recap it.

The ending of the first season left its viewers with some unanswered questions. Before watching the second season, let's refresh your memory with the events that transpired in the show's ending.

Is Lee Eun-hyuk Still Alive?

In the finale of the first season, Lee Eun-hyuk (played by Lee Do-hyun) chases after Cha Hyun-soo (played by Song Kang). Hyun-soo doesn't get swayed by Eun-hyuk and continues to go out to the soldiers.

After this, Eun-hyuk returns to the crumbling building to help the group escape. Just before the building crumbles on him, Eun-hyuk starts to have a nosebleed, a sure sign of being infected.

This makes us wonder if Eun-hyuk was able to make it out of the collapsing building alive. After all, he was starting to exhibit the signs of turning into a monster-- which would have given him healing abilities.

Right now though, this is one question we have to ponder. We'll have to wait for the second season to come out before we can get our answer.

What Was the Meaning of the Timeskip?

Another question that left fans hanging was the scene where Pyeon Sang-wook (played by Lee Jin-wook) escorted Hyun-soo away in an armored truck. Sang-wook appears to have been in a previous battle, but this is not shown in the ending.

With this scene added to the finale, it's possible that there was a time skip that occurred.

The scene also shows Hyun-soo's healing powers working against the bullet wounds. It also looks like Hyun-soo has been in his monster state while in the snow scene.

But this leaves us with the question of how Sang-wook managed to rescue him without getting injured by the bullets.

One possible answer here is that this isn't the real Sang-wook. Instead, the one driving the truck is Jung Ui-myeong (played by Kim Sung-cheol), a monster who can possess someone's body.

But this also raises a question of whether Sang-wook has also been infected at this point. If ever, this would explain his healing powers.

What Happened to Seo Yi-kyung?

One of the fan-favorite characters in Sweet Home is Lee Si-young's Seo Yi-kyung, a former firefighter who is looking for her missing fiance.

At the end of Season 1, the soldiers tell Yi-kyeong that their deal has not yet been completed. We also see the former firefighter in full military gear while driving a jeep.

It's possible that the government has "hired" her to collect the special infectees like Hyun-soo. Could she betray her friends for information on her missing fiance?

We'll have to wait for Sweet Home Season 2 to get answers. In the meantime, check out this teaser of the second season:
