Superman Will be a Big Player in Justice League

Shortly after leaked images of a black-suited Superman and a new official image of the Justice League assembled have surfaced, there's now a new statement that hints to the Man of Steel's role in the upcoming ensemble movie Justice League.

Director Zack Snyder's new interview with Empire magazine (spotted by Cosmic Book News) hints at just how Superman will be part of the movie.

"Superman does play a big part in this movie. His presence, and a lack of presence, are big story points…"

It's certainly a very cryptic tease to the already cryptic lack of concrete information as far as what we know about Justice League. The new images that have appeared recently don't really tell much, except that Batman will be taking the lead in the group.

I don't know what's up with Snyder and the production crew, but they're certainly fond of teasing Justice League images with no real context in them. Is it to avoid any kind of leaks as to the storyline?

Speculations are strong with Justice League potentially seeing a black-clad Superman who may be more a menace than an ally. And does this "presence" mean his return will be a big turning point in the movie?

Justice League opens in theaters on Nov. 16. It stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher, with Henry Cavill expected to make a return somehow as Superman. It's under the direction of Zack Snyder.
