The finale episode of the CW series Superman & Lois has finally wrapped production, marking the end of an era for the network's DC franchise.

Last year, it was announced that the upcoming fourth season is set to be its last due to a business decision from Warner Bros. Discovery as they want to avoid competing with the upcoming Superman DCU movie.

The majority of the cast members were let go as series regulars as a result of the budget cut. Production was also delayed due to the Hollywood labor strikes.

Elizabeth Tulloch Reveals Superman & Lois Finale Has Wrapped Filming

In her recent post on X, Elizabeth Tulloch, who plays Lois Lane, revealed that production of the final episode of Superman & Lois has wrapped as she shared that it was the last day of shooting.

She also posted a photo of the producers' note to the cast and crew at the bottom of the call sheet.

The note reads: "To the best cast and crew in television. Thank you for four seasons of tireless dedication, endless enthusiasm, and your massive talent in making Superman and Lois one of the best adaptations in the Superman mythology."

This news is both exciting and sad for fans since it marks the end of an era for both the series and the CW's long-running DC franchise and now they can anticipate the release of the new season.

So far, the details regarding the story of the new season are under wraps, but Lex Luthor is expected to be prominently featured since Michael Cudlitz was promoted to series regular.

For now, fans should look out for the release of the trailer in the coming months leading up to its release later this year.

The fourth and final season of Superman & Lois is set to premiere this fall on the CW.
