One of the interesting things about Stranger Things is how all the main characters are still very much alive and expected to continue playing major roles in the final season. Unfortunately, that means that most of the minor characters have bit the dust despite being more interesting than the main cast.
For instance, a Season 4 character was killed off in the last episode and fans are simply not having it. A new petition has been launched and it begs the Duffer brothers to bring him back for the final season!
The Change.org petition was launched almost immediately after the release of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 as it was revealed that Hellfire Club leader Eddie Munson was killed after fighting the Demobats in the Upside Down. It calls out showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer as well as executive producer Shawn Levy, begging them to resurrect Eddie in the final season.
"This is a petition I have started to bring back fan favourite Eddie Munson. The Duffer Brothers have unfairly killed him off and many other fans and I think he deserves to be brought back and not just as a flashback, please sign this petition to spread awareness," the petition reads.
Fans had a lot of reasons for wanting Eddie back in Stranger Things Season 5. It was pointed out that Eddie needs to graduate while others simply wanted to see more of Joe Quinn's character. Either way, people are already signing the petition which already has 41,775 signatures. You can sign the petition here.
The final season of Stranger Things is expected to conclude the story of the residents of Hawkins who were last seen having to deal with the portal to the Upside Down being opened in the town. Season 5 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
