Insider and leaker Nick "Shpeshal Ed" Baker, who is oftentimes a reliable source shared the news over on his Twitter page. The speculation over the Mando game sparked after an alleged Funko pop for the series was spotted on the shelf of Phil Spencer who is known to tease games and other announcements online.

However, the said tweet was taken down as Baker found out that the Funko figure on Spencer's shelf wasn't actually a Mandalorian pop. He later apologized for the blunder which naturally caused excitement within the Star Wars fandom but he reiterates that an actual The Mandalorian game is happening although details about are being kept under wraps.

The idea of Lucasfilm developing a Mandalorian game doesn't sound too farfetched considering how popular the show has become. And while Star Wars games have either been a hit or a miss over the years, games like Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order brought some credibility back to the franchise, and quite frankly, all Lucasfilm has to do is follow the blueprint those games set.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian Season 3 reportedly begins filming soon.
