Star Wars: Squadrons Will Have Cross-Play Between PS4, Xbox One, PC, and VR

Star Wars: Squadrons is looking to be a better effort from EA to ensure that fans are happy with the product they are getting, releasing at a cheaper price and not having any microtransactions. It seems like EA has really doubled down on making sure fans like their Star Wars games as the company has also revealed that it will have cross-play for every platform that it's released on. That means PS4 players can play with those that have an Xbox One or PC copy of the game and vice-versa.

This is yet another cross-play title from EA after it worked well with Need for Speed Heat. No one is going to complain about this since fans feel that it's better if everyone is connected to each other in some way through gaming, even if they have different consoles. We're sure it wasn't an easy get since Sony is infamously stingy about this becoming a thing but fans are all for it.

While Star Wars: Squadrons does have a single-player mode, the main focus on this game is online multiplayer so getting cross-play for all gaming platforms was a pretty brilliant move. As long as the game itself is good, this could be another big Star Wars win for EA. Though things did improve with Battlefront II, Jedi: Fallen Order is really when the company got things good and we hope that same quality follows for its next game.

Fans will be able to purchase Star Wars: Squadrons on October 2 for the PS4, XB1, PC, and VR. It will also have cross-play compatibility with all these platforms.
