An upcoming Star Wars series, Skeleton Crew, has just added their newest cast member to the roster: iconic sitcom star Jaleel White, who is famously known for playing Steve Urkel in Family Matters.

As revealed in a recent interview during an appearance at the Edmonton Oilers NHL game, Jaleel is not only starring in the series, but even slipped up on Skeleton Crew’s release date.

“Oh wow, I’m actually going to be in a new series on Disney Plus starring Jude Law of Skeleton Crew.” Jaleel said.

The 46-year-old actor teased his role being a “pirate” on the series, which required him doing “two hours worth of makeup every day on set.”

The Family Matters star then unveiled Skeleton Crew is eyeing a late 2023 release date: “Yeah, it’s coming out in November/December and it’s part of the Star Wars universe.”

With The Mandalorian Season 3 coming to an end last month, Ahsoka is right up our alley with its release this August.

As it turns out, the Skeleton Crew is not going to be much of a wait, after all.

The new Star Wars series was described as a “galactic version of classic [Amblin Entertainment] coming-of-age adventure films of the 80s.”

Similar to The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, the series is set after the events of 1983’s Return of the Jedi during ‘The New Republic.’

Apart from Jude Law and Jaleel White, the main cast for Skeleton Crew also counts Kerry Condon, Tunde Adebimpe, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith.
