Star Wars Resistance may be bringing in familiar faces like Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, but we're also going to be introduced to a bunch of new characters, both from the First Order and Resistance side. Some new figures have come out online, and they give us the names of new characters as well as the mysterious golden trooper that we've been seeing in the trailers.
As per FanthaTracks, the trooper clad in gold is Commander Pyre. Seeing that commander is the rank right below captain, I'm guessing he's taking order straight from Phasma. If you're also curious, the trooper clad in red is named Major Vonreg, and he looks to be an ace First Order pilot. Everyone's guessing it's him in the cockpit of the red TIE interceptor in the trailers.
A new face that we haven't seen in the trailers before is that of Synara San, who is said to be a salvager (much like Rey). I don't know what side of the war she's supposed to be on, but I'm guessing she's going to end up like the DJ — no good guys or bad guys, just business.
Though a lot of hate has been coming the way of Resistance, a lot of people are convinced that everyone will eventually mellow down once they get settled with all the characters. The reception was the same for Clone Wars and Rebels, and look how everyone ended up loving those.
