Star Wars Icon Frank Oz Shares Disappointment Over Being Seen as Yoda Actor

It's no secret that Yoda is one of the most recognizable characters from the Star Wars Universe. But did you know that the man who played Yoda is also known for other notable roles? Sadly, not many fans are aware of this and it has been a great disappointment for Frank Oz.

Oz, who has served as the puppeteer and voice of the Jedi Master in several Star Wars films, recently admitted to Indiewire that he has not yet seen The Mandalorian. Nevertheless, he has great expectations when it comes to Baby Yoda even though the little character isn't exactly connected to him.

"I have nothing to do with Baby Yoda," Oz said. "But I heard it's very cute, and I'm sure Disney has a whole plan for it."

Interestingly, Oz then added that although he enjoyed playing the Jedi Master, he also isn't fond of being seen as merely a Yoda actor.

"I love doing Yoda. The only thing that bothers me is if people think that I only do Yoda. That's not a good feeling," Oz said.

This is truly shocking for fans of the icon who is known for several amazing roles outside of the Star Wars Universe. After all, Oz is the man behind characters like Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Sam Eagle in The Muppet Show as well as Cookie Monster, Bert, and Grover in Sesame Street. Needless to say, we're hoping that people begin to appreciate Oz for his numerous roles.
