It looks like the cast of The Mandalorian Season 2 is getting more interesting. The Star Wars series has just added Santa Clarita Diet actor Timothy Olyphant. But who will he portray in the Disney+ show?
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Olyphant will be joining the cast of The Mandalorian Season 2. However, it has not been revealed whether he will be part of the main cast or will appear as a guest star in the series. In addition to that, Olyphant's role has not yet been disclosed.
But who could Olyphant possibly play in The Mandalorian Season 2? Some believe that he might be a completely new character but there are also speculations that he has been cast as someone who has already been featured in Star Wars. It might be too soon to tell but we're waiting for updates on this story.
We're loving the idea that Olyphant found the perfect project that would introduce him into the Star Wars Universe. Considering that The Mandalorian is basically a Western in space, Olyphant is a great addition since he has flirted with the genre in shows like Deadwood and Justified. Needless to say, we can't wait to see him in action later this year.
The Mandalorian Season 2 has already added Rosario Dawson as (possibly) Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison as (maybe) Boba Fett and/or Captain Rex, and Katee Sackhoff as (definitely) Bo-Katan Kryze. The second season is set to premiere on Disney+ this October.
