Star Wars Fans Want a Solo Disney+ Series or Movie More Than a Theatrical Release

There's been a lot of talk about a possible sequel to Solo: A Star Wars Story the past few days because of Alden Ehrenreich's little interview with Esquire where the Brave New World star tease Solo sequel discussions.

While Lucasfilm has yet to confirm its plans for potential follow-ups the Young Solo Star Wars spinoff, Star Wars fans have been eagerly discussing their own ideas for a Solo sequel, and it seems like a number of fans are hoping for a brand new Han Solo series or a movie on Disney+.

Coming Soon just recently put up a poll asking Star Wars fans how they'd want Ehrenreich's iteration of Star Wars' scruffy nerfherder to return to Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away, and it seems like a majority of the respondents want to see a Disney+ sequel series or movie.

While there are fans who continue to petition for Solo 2, fans that answered Coming Soon's pool seem to be more interested in a Disney+ release (40% or 409 votes) than a theatrical Solo sequel (23% or 239 votes).

Others yet would rather have no sequel at all, saying that Lucasfilm ought to give the character a break (20% or 202 votes). Meanwhile, some fans would rather much see Alden Ehreich appear in other Star Wars shows or movies as a side character instead of a leading man (12% or 127 votes).

Interestingly enough, the poll options don't end there. Some respondents would rather have Lucasfilm recast the role (5% or 48 votes) and others yet would have Han Solo appear as a much younger version of himself for a Kid Solo series or movie (1% or 10 votes).

Goes to show just how diverse the Star Wars fanbase is. We can only wonder what kind of follow-up Lucasfilm might be preparing for Solo.
