Star Wars: The Force Awakens marked the start of the sequel trilogy, featuring the return of Carrie Fisher's Leia Organa, Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker, and Harrison Ford's Han Solo. Han had a more prominent role in the film, leading to his horrific death in the hands of his own son, Kylo Ren. While his return with Chewie became an iconic line in the franchise, it could've happened very differently.

Christian Alzmann took to Instagram to share a concept art showing a different take on Han Solo's return. The piece shows the smuggler in a cantina, out drinking with others, and it looks like he's the last man standing. You can check it out below!

Judging from the piece, it's either he has been drowning his sorrows by drinking because of the hardships he has gone through or he's just simply doing his business at the cantina as always.
In the theatrical cut, fans were reintroduced to the character on the Millenium Falcon along with Chewie, stating that they were finally home.

Coming up on five years since The Force Awakens' release, some fans might think that a bigger moment revealing his return might have been better, but others might be content on what director J.J. Abrams went with for the final cut. Either way, despite his tragic death, fans were certainly happy to see Han back.

Ford went on to reprise his role in The Rise of Skywalker, the final installment of the Skywalker Saga. He became a key element in Kylo Ren's redemption, somewhat recreating the same scene from The Force Awakens through Kylo's memories.
