Star Wars Fans Freak Out over Baby Yoda Twitter Account Getting Deactivated

There is little doubt that Twitter is the one place you can go to to find hilarious accounts for Star Wars characters. For instance, the Emo Kylo Ren Twitter account has gained thousands of followers since the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, there is one account that was recently deactivated and it has people fuming. But why did Twitter decide to deactivate the Baby Yoda fan account?

The Baby Yoda Twitter account @BabyYodaBaby was started almost as soon as The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ last November and has become one of the most popular fan accounts on the social media platform. Unfortunately, Twitter decided to deactivate the account for no particular reason. Interestingly, this is the second and reportedly permanent ban on the account.

It's an unexpected ban considering that the account doesn't seem to be violating any rules. Account owner Matt Grasso told Insider that he continues to appeal with Twitter.

"I just, politely, kept appealing it," Grasso said. "I'd written them multiple emails about the fact that this is a really positive account, and I detailed the situation: that I'd been suspended once, been allowed to keep an account, and I clearly hadn't violated Twitter rules since then."

For now, it's unclear if the ban will be lifted. In the meantime, Star Wars fans are appealing on behalf of Baby Yoda.

The real Baby Yoda is set to return in The Mandalorian Season 2 this Fall.
