Star Wars Episode IX: Billy Dee Williams Shares Video of Himself Training

It's been confirmed that Billy Dee Williams will be making his return to Star Wars as Lando Calrissian, and just like co-stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, he has to get in shape to get back on the big screen. Just recently, he shares this video of himself training with Gunnar Peterson.

Check it out:

We don't know how much in shape they need Lando to be, but it's possible that they just want him to be more or less just like Harrison Ford in The Force Awakens. If you're curious about Williams' trainer, he's a professional that's worked with the likes of Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, and Hugh Jackman. Rest assured, Williams is in good hands.

With Carrie Fisher passing away, the movie needs someone to fill in the role of a legacy character, and Lando is the perfect addition. Probably the latest update in Lando's canon comes from the Star Wars Battlefront II campaign, but we have no idea where he is come the timeline of The Force Awakens.

Besides Williams, we'll also see the return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, and Leia will be brought back via some unused footage from TFA and TLJ.

Catch Lando Calrissian back in the game when Star Wars Episode IX comes to theaters Dec. 20, 2019.
