Solo: A Star Wars Story may not have made the largest splash in the box office, but Lucasfilm is trying to make up for that with the home release of the film. Marketing has been building up recently, they've just released a clip of Han and Chewie formally meeting for the first time.
This scene takes place in Vandor, right after Han and Chewie land themselves a spot in Beckett's crew. The two actually meet for the first time on the mud planet of Mimban, but I guess they want to save that scene for people who actually buy the home release.
Though Solo may not have made that much money, the critical response for the movie was nothing but great. Sure it was a smaller, more self-contained film, but it's opens up possibilities for more films set in the Star Wars universe that don't have to deal with just the conflict between the Rebellion and the Empire.
Personally, I'm hoping that Lucasfilm pushes on with their Star Wars anthology films. The movie ended with a teaser for a possible sequel, and I would love to see Alden Ehrenreich back as Han Solo with Joonas Suotamo's Chewie along for the ride.
Fingers crossed the toxic fanbase didn't kill the future of more Solo films.
