Rogue One: A Star Wars Story broke the hearts of Star Wars fans all around the globe after it killed off the main members of the Rogue One team one by one starting with the dry but witty droid K2-SO (Alan Tudyk) and then ending with the dramatic deaths of Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones).
The Battle of Scarif was intense, and many members of the Rebel Alliance had to sacrifice their lives to get the Death Star plans to the Rebellion. Of course, some of the Rebel characters of Rogue One lived to fight another day, one of which includes General Draven (Alistair Petrie).
Now, thanks to Marvel's Star Wars #54 (via ComicBook.com), fans get to learn about Draven's fate after Rogue One.
After learning that Jyn Erso succeed in accomplishing her mission to obtain the Death Star plans without any of his support, Draven decided to devote more of his time to the Rebellion, promising Leia Organa protection.
In the recent issues of the Marvel Star Wars series, the battle between the Empire and the Rebellion get even more intense. At one point during the battle, Leia and the other Rebels board an Imperial ship so that they can get codes, but with Vader hot in pursuit, the Rebels have to escape the ship soon.
However, Draven refuses to flee with Leia and the others.

Inspired by Jyn's sacrifice, Draven decides to day, confessing that "It always bugged me that Jyn Erso got to be the hero and I got to be the guy who was wrong."
This is definitely an interesting decision for Draven. The General made a lot of questionable militaristic decisions in Rogue One, and now the general is given his shot at redemption by sacrificing himself for the rebellion. What a way to finish Draven's story in Star Wars galaxy far, far away.
