Star Wars: Comics Reveal that Sidious is the Real ‘Father’ of Anakin Skywalker?

One piece of lore that Star Wars fans have accepted about Anakin Skywalker is that he was of a virgin birth and he was a child born purely of the Force. What's interesting is, the Vader comic has this scene which somewhat reveals that Palpatine was the one who manipulated the Force to make Shmi Skywalker pregnant with Anakin.

If anything, this is just a fear that Vader has and is not the truth. A lot of fans also argue that Shmi was already pregnant when Sidious got to her. What's interesting is, there's a deleted scene in Revenge of the Sith where Palpatine admits to Anakin that he was the one who manipulated the midichlorians to make him exist, even going so far to tell Anakin that he was his father.

While it makes a lot of fans sick to think that Palpatine is actually the ‘grandfather' of the Skywalker bloodline, it's great that this scene didn't make it to the film. It doesn't help that the comics are kind of hinting at it though.

For now, I think the conditions of Anakin's birth will remain a mystery—until Lucasfilm decides to tell that story. Personally, I think that Lucas was building up to that reveal with Palpatine, but it didn't really sit right with him in the end. Can you imagine the outrage if he actually went through with it?
