Star Wars: Battlefront II Teaser Finally Reveals Anakin Skywalker

Star Wars: Battlefront II is gearing up for the arrival of Anakin Skywalker, and he drops next week on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Though we've had teasers released late before, we have a short clipping giving us our first look at "The Chosen One."

With players confirming that the Dark Side roster has had the upper hand between Heroes and Villains, DICE has confirmed that Anakin will come out to be the most powerful Light Side hero coming to the game. It only makes that it would be true, counting that he is ‘the chosen one' and that he ‘would bring balance to the Force.'

Besides the arrival of Anakin, you can see behind him some Phase 1 clone troopers clad in their 501st colors. Just in case you didn't know, the 501st is considered to be the personal guard of Vader in Star Wars lore, and they've been nicknamed Vader's Fist.

Anakin was supposed to come alongside a large scale game mode, but DICE has opted to cancel it to next month in order to polish it a bit more. At least it's better than dropping the mode early only to have it be full of bugs. We don't have an official name for it yet, but it's said to do something with Capital Ship takedowns as well as classic capture points from the old Battlefront games.

Things are looking up for Star Wars: Battlefront II, and hopefully, we get some more amazing content as 2019 trudges along.

Anakin Skywalker arrives Feb. 27. Star Wars: Battlefront II is playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
