Ahead of Squid Game: The Challenge finale's premiere tomorrow, Netflix officially confirmed that the reality game show, based on the hit South Korean drama which took over the world in 2021 is getting a Season 2.
Now, if you missed your chance to become part of the inaugural season's cast, the creators of the Squid Game spinoff just announced that they're opening castings for Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2.
Netflix Announces Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2; Opens Casting
In a short teaser Netflix uploaded on YouTube, the streaming giant confirmed that the reality show is getting renewed for a second season. Along with the confirmation, the streamer also urged potential players to sign up via squidgamecasting.com. The good thing is, everyone from all over the globe is eligible join!
In a statement (via Variety), Netflix VP of Nonfiction Series Brandon Riegg said: "There was no red light in our decision to greenlight Season 2 of ‘Squid Game: The Challenge,’ the most ambitious unscripted show we’ve premiered at Netflix".
"We’re so excited to continue the franchise of ‘Squid Game’ with our team in Korea, and producers at Studio Lambert and The Garden for this epic competition series," he added.
As it stands, key details about Season 2 have not been announced but it's safe to say that it will be bigger than the first one. Check out the announcement video for Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 here:

Meanwhile, Squid Game: The Challenge's tenth and final episode is set to air tomorrow. If you haven't been keeping up with the show, only three players remain out of the original 456 contenders vying for a staggering $4.56 million.
