Square Enix is Accepting Hirings For a New Kingdom Hearts Project

Kingdom Hearts has always been one of Square Enix's best-selling properties, with this year's Kingdom Hearts III selling a ton of copies, despite some fans saying it was a bit unmemorable. As we wait for the Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind DLC, it looks like Square Enix is about to go back to the past or plan something new since they are hiring staff for a Kingdom Hearts project, getting a lot of fans giddy.

The only details known right know are that it's an HD Kingdom Hearts project and they're looking for a UI designer, tech artist, and an effects designer. Some fans have speculated that this could just be for fixing up the previously mentioned Re:Mind DLC, while others are more optimistic about a new game, maybe even a remake.

Others are also hoping for a Kingdom Hearts HD Collection for the Nintendo Switch, which would be amazing. Playing a game like Kingdom Hearts II on the go sounds like a really good time, given how addictive the combat system can be. Seriously Nintendo, please talk to Square Enix and give us the Kingdom Hearts games on Switch, that would be AMAZING.

We'll have to wait for more details to see exactly what they have planned for Kingdom Hearts, especially after the ambiguous ending to Kingdom Hearts III. Sora's fate is still unknown but let's hope that the kid gets some sort of nice ending, presumably with some kind of reset to justify him starting at level 1.

Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts The Story So Far are available now on PS4.
