The next season may still be months away, but Spy x Family fans continue to be treated to new merch. Now, Spy x Family fans can get to take home their own agent Penguin with this large plush toy.
This isn’t the first Spy x Family plushie, nor is this the first for Penguin, but it is interesting as it features Penguin with his “battle scars” which he got during one of Season 1’s later episodes.
Spy x Family Gets More Anime Projects and Merch
While the original manga was already quite popular before, the anime became a runaway hit, even back when its first episode premiered in April 2022.
In fact, its success is almost comparable to that of Demon Slayer, but the difference is that Spy x Family became popular early into its run.
Meanwhile, Demon Slayer only blew up in popularity after the first season ended.
Thanks to its popularity, the show quickly got renewed for a second season.
Plus, a movie was announced, which will have an all-new story by series creator Tatsuya Endo.
Along with new anime, Spy x Family continues to get new merch, with more Loid, Yor, and Anya figures being produced.
On top of these, there are even merch for Anya’s chimera stuffed toy, as well as Anya loungewear sets.
Finally, there’s a musical play that’s based on the anime, which began earlier this year.
Currently, the stage play is running in Fukuoka. This follows earlier runs in Tokyo and Hyogo.

Anya’s Penguin Gets an Actual Plushie, Complete With Battle Scars
The latest merch for Spy x Family is a large penguin plushie that’s inspired by Anya’s own stuffed toy, which she creatively names “Penguin.”
Again, this isn’t the first penguin plushie, though it is unique for featuring the scars given to him by Bond.
In one episode, Bond attacks Penguin out of jealousy. This results in a look that's reminiscent of Frankenstein's monster after Loid patches him up.
This plushie isn’t as large as the one in the anime though, as it is around 2 ft. tall. For reference, Penguin in the anime is closer to 3 ft. tall or more.
Still, this plush toy is a must-have for Spy x Family fans who want their own agent Penguin to accompany them when they sleep.
Pre-orders for this plushie are available now in various online shops, and it is priced at JPY 11,000 (around USD 82).
It will then be shipped beginning in September 2023.
