The original Spy Kids Trilogy was all previously rated PG, meaning that the films are suitable for kids ages eight and older, but does Spy Kids: Armageddon have the same age rating guide?

Given the history of the franchise, the Spy Kids reboot movie maintained the same age rating, with two much younger kid actors starring in the film. The age of the actors was most likely taken into account in how to make this movie work for kids their age.

Perhaps the biggest danger Spy Kids: Armageddon posed to its audiences were small instances of violence.

This includes the explosion that happened during the ‘Fireball’ incident on the parents' mission, the Spy Kids having to maneuver an untested Spy car on their own, and some fighting scenes that the parents committed while doing their job.

When compared to the original Trilogy, Spy Kids: Armageddon is practically a safe haven for kids to watch and learn from without having to worry their parents about hearing or seeing any inappropriate terms or scenes.

So, Is Spy Kids: Armageddon Suitable For Kids To Watch?

If you check out the official trailer for the Spy Kids reboot, you’ll notice how there are minimal action scenes where the kids are involved.

In fact, that’s one of the good qualities Spy Kids: Armageddon portrayed, seeing as one of its stars, Patty Tango-Torrez (Everly Carganilla), always points out what her parents have raised her to be: truthful and to never disobey her parents.

If anything, the reboot teaches children more about the core values that make any family stronger and have their kids grow up to be better adults in asserting their boundaries, despite the nature of a Spy’s work of having to lie.

Not to mention, since a Spy’s work always has the tendency to lean on violent ways to interrogate and defeat their opponents, one of the gadgets presented in the film (a dice with emotions), was used to exhibit a less improper method that prevented any unnecessary kickbutting action from the kids.

Should you wish to check on what kind of media kids these days are consuming, Spy Kids: Armageddon is above all a family movie that parents will surely enjoy watching with their little ones at home.
