Here Are All of Spy Kids: Armageddon’s Characters

Terrence Tango-Torrez

Perhaps the most prominent of the bunch, Shazam’s very own Zachary Levi is portraying the father of the Tango-Torrez family, Terrence Tango-Torrez.

Similar to how Antonio Banderas’ Gregorio Cortez is a genius inventor behind being one of the greatest spies under the OSS (Organization of Super Spies), Terrence ‘invented’ the Armageddon code that made technology much easier to use in the global network.

Nora Tango-Torrez

As for his wife and mother of the kids, Gina Rodriguez portrays Nora Tango-Torrez, as a strict but overly confident mother who believes her kids know when they’re doing the right thing and that is by telling their truths to her.

She also tends to be quite the housekeeper, no matter the circumstance. Even when their house was being raided by the bad guys, she would lash out and want to beat them up for wrecking their home. The complete opposite of Carla Gugino’s Ingrid Cortez.

Tony Tango-Torrez

Now, for the kids: Connor Esterson is Antonio Joaquin Cecilio Rogue Amadeus Tango-Torrez, or Tony, for short, who likes breaking the rules and tends to outsmart his parents most of the time.

He’s known to be a bit of a troublemaker than his sister, but he still lends a helpful hand when the family needs it. Most evidently, when The King managed to hack into the system of every device and the only thing that could grant them access again was to beat his video game.

Patty Tango-Torrez

Everly Carganilla’s portrayal of Patty, aka Patricia Angelita Sorrow Feliz Rhiannon Tango-Torrez, is no short of a good attempt at turning her into a role model for the family.

She’s mostly obedient and blunt when it comes to following a certain set of rules she’s been taught to obey, and quite contrary to how her brother reacted about the nature of Spy's work to lie, Patty always prefers they choose a peaceful way of resolving conflict.

The King

There’s also the man we call The King aka the main villain of the story. He’s the inventor of the video game and was responsible for stealing the Armageddon code and hacking into every device available in the world.

Played by Billy Magnussen, The King’s simple wish is to seek revenge for the killing of his father, and believes that the world has gone too cruel to be fixed. That is until he faces Tony, one of his biggest avid gamers.

Devlin

The head of the OSS, Devlin, is played by none other than D.J. Cotrona, whose role mostly revolves around patronizing the Spy Kids into thinking that only adults could handle their spy work.

However, by the end of the film, it was also Devlin who ended up hiring both Tony and Patty as the first-ever Spy Kids under the OSS and its reboot.

Are Carmen and Juni in Spy Kids: Armageddon?

Considering that Spy Kids: Armageddon is a reboot film, surely, the director at least thought about making some form of cameos or tributes to the original Spy Kids, no?

So, are Daryl Sabara’s Juni Cortez and Alexa PenaVega’s Carmen Cortez present in the Spy Kids reboot? Well, unfortunately, no, they aren’t.

As nostalgic as it would have been to include Carmen and Juni in some shape or form, it was a good decision not to, since the director’s intention is to reboot the franchise, after all.

The last time we saw these actors was way back in the 4th Spy Kids movie, All the Time in the World. They probably wouldn't have worked as Easter eggs, either, since the entire Spy Kids reboot film was already filled with references to the original trilogy.

What Spy Kids: Armageddon lacked, however, is their very own Uncle Machete (Danny Trejo), who usually provides the kids with his own inventions and weapons for the younger spies.

Most of which tend to work better than the high-tech ones the OSS hands out to their agents.

For now, Spy Kids: Armageddon is available to stream on Netflix.
