Will Falcon and Winter Soldier Set Up a New Captain America Movie? (SPOILERS)

MAJOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME SPOILERS WILL BE DISCUSSED

Now that Avengers: Endgame has come and gone, fans have begun discussing the future of Marvel Studios and the MCU in general. One of the biggest shockers that happened at the end was Steve Rogers giving Sam Wilson the Vibranium Shield, essentially making him the new Captain America. This has been done in the comic books before but fans did not expect to see it in the films.

However, it was already announced that we would be getting a Falcon and Winter Soldier series in Disney+, making fans wonder if it will be setting up a new Captain America film starring Anthony Mackie's character. After all, Wilson was clearly uncomfortable holding the Shield, even saying that it felt like something that didn't belong to him in Endgame.

If we had to garner a guess, we're going to assume that the series will have Bucky trying to convince Sam that he is worthy of the shield, while Falcon reluctantly accepts the role after a life-or-death situation. This is a superhero series, after all, so we have to expect some high stakes hijinks when it comes to people realizing they should accept the roles life hands them.

Disney+ is expected to debut this November but it's not yet known if Falcon and Winter Soldier will be there at launch. This is one of the many MCU shows that will debut for the network, with WandaVision and Loki also announced.

Avengers: Endgame is now showing in theaters.
