If you were one of the many people impatiently waiting for the Blu-Ray release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, well, you won't be waiting for too long. Producer Chris Miller announced that Into the Spider-Verse will be coming to Blu-Ray on March 19, while those that don't mind a digital version of the movie can get it next week on February 26.
The Lego Movie co-director happily announced that the Oscar-nominated animated film will also have a number of extras when it comes to Blu-Ray, whilst also confirming that the movie is still showing in some theaters. Considering how beautiful this movie looks, no one will complain about seeing these extras since we all want to see how this animated spectacle comes to life.
Critics and fans alike fell in love with this movie, thanks to the beautiful animation and amazing characterization. As far as movie debuts go, Miles Morales had one of the best ones in Marvel history and it's easy to see why this movie is still in cinemas since people can't stop seeing it. If there's anything disappointing about watching it on Blu-Ray, it's that a TV screen isn't as big as one in a movie theater.
Sony has already announced that a sequel is on the way, one that might focus on Miles and Gwen's romance. Spider-Man 2099 is also expected to make an appearance if that awesome post-credit sequence is anything to go by.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is coming to Blu-Ray on March 19.
