Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a lot of people's favorite movie of 2018 (including yours truly) so it's easy to see why everyone is excited about the Blu-Ray release. Chris Miller, one of the film's producers, has stated that the Blu-Ray coming out next month will have Kingpin-sized extras and fans were curious about what some of these features are. Turns out that one of them is a short film starring Spider-Ham.
Called Caught in a Ham, this appears to be a cute little short that will spotlight a character who was very good for laughs. Sony has released a minute-long clip of the movie and it looks great, though the movie is not as gorgeous as the movie. Still, it's nice seeing 2D animation for this character and the Bugs Bunny-like joke at the end should please many.
Honestly, seeing this makes us wish each of the other characters would get shorts. Who wouldn't want to see more of Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man Noir? Or more of Peni Parker? Spider-Gwen, Peter B. Parker, and Miles Morales were clearly the main characters of the movie, so they don't really need any more attention until the next movie.
A few deleted scenes would be nice though. Just saying.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes to digital stores next week on February 26, while the Blu-Ray comes out on March 19.
