Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Trolls Fans Who Complained About The First Poster

Sonic the Hedgehog was looking to start promotion early this month by releasing a motion poster for the film. Little did they know about the backlash from fans who think that Sonic's anatomy looks weird in the poster. The fun thing is, the movie seems to have a good sense of humor about itself and has posted a reply to the fans.

If you look at the Sonic the Hedgehog page as well, you'll notice that it's been retweeting a lot of the comics and memes that have been made to poke fun at it. I have to say, this is a direction that I'm happy the movie is taking, and it could also be a clue to what kind of humor we can expect from the film.

With fan reactions online, studios usually have two reactions. One is they just ignore what fans say and push through with what they planned. The other listens intently to fans and scrambles to make changes that will make everyone happy.

While it's great when fan feedback changes movies, it is always more of a double-edged sword. Sometimes you get changes like in Ralph Breaks the Internet where Tiana was adjusted to look more ethnically accurate after backlash; while on the other hand, you can get rushed rehashes like DC's Suicide Squad and Justice League.

Hopefully, this Sonic movie ends up a crowd-pleaser. If anything, it could get an entirely new generation in on the Sonic the Hedgehog hype.
