The actors and writers in Hollywood remain on strike as the studios are still not willing to make a fair deal with the guilds. We have seen the effects recently as numerous upcoming releases have been delayed while hundreds of film and TV productions were halted.

So far, it is still unknown yet when the strike will end and one thing's for sure is that it won't conclude anytime soon as negotiations have still not resumed. Industry experts have predicted that it could last for a couple more months.

It also doesn't help that Disney CEO Bob Iger recently made controversial comments as he called the strike "very disturbing" and the demands are not realistic. As expected, it immediately received backlash from the actors and writers who are striking.

There is no doubt that it is going to be a continuing battle and all of us are hoping that it will finally be resolved very soon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany recently joined the picket line in New York City to support her fellow actors and writers who are fighting for a fair contract and their right to have a sustainable income.

"I have friends who have been doing this for 30 to 40 years and have lost their health care because the minimums are so relatively low, but wages have gone down, people’s quotes no longer stand for anything. It’s just like we’ve been completely cast aside," she said.

The Disney+ star did not mince her words when she slammed Iger for his recent comments surrounding the strike where she called him "completely out of touch" about the struggles of her colleagues in the industry.

"I think he’s completely out of touch. He’s completely out of touch with the workers who make his shows happen, who make people watch these shows, who bring viewers to him and him money," she added.

"Having worked on a Disney show, I know where people fall through the cracks and where people are taken advantage of and it’s outrageous the amount of wealth that is not shared with the people who actually make the show. That’s crew, cast, writers."

Despite starring in a series that is owned and produced by Disney, it is impressive to see Maslany's move of publicly calling out the CEO of the company that employed her and it seemed that the fight is more important to her than her relationship with the company.

This is certainly an issue that needs to be highlighted as the strike continues to go on and the studios refuse to talk with the people that made the projects that they profited from. It is an ongoing development that we will continue to monitor and, hopefully, it will come to a fair solution very soon.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is available to stream on Disney+.
