Sony has announced the new release dates for the upcoming live-action Spider-Verse movies Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web amidst the ongoing strikes that have affected a lot of upcoming releases and projects that were in production.

Kraven the Hunter is now set to arrive in theaters on August 30, 2024 which will fall on that year's Labor Day weekend. It was previously scheduled to release on October 6 this year prior to the delay.

Deadline reported that the decision behind the delay was due to the ongoing strike as the actors are not allowed to promote their projects at the moment. The studio wants Aaron Taylor-Johnson to be part of the film's global promotional tour prior to the release.

Meanwhile, Madame Web is now set to arrive in theaters a little earlier on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2024. It was previously scheduled for release two days later on February 16.

In the case of this film, it sounds like the strike has nothing to do with the film's new release date since the move is to an earlier date and the studio has confidence that they will be able to make it on its planned release early next year.

The studio also announced that Venom 3, which started production prior to the beginning of the actors' strike, is now set for release in theaters on July 12, 2024, which will be the first film in the series that will release in the summer season.

This was part of the series of announcements that Sony made surrounding their future releases. They also revealed that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will no longer arrive in theaters on March 2024 and it is now being delayed indefinitely.

While it is a disappointing update for fans who have been looking forward to these films, it is also unfortunately an inevitable situation as a result of the strike that was caused by the studios' unwillingness to make a fair deal with the actors and writers.

Stay tuned for more news and updates surrounding the releases of Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web since it is still a developing situation.
