Aquaman dominated the box office last December, but moving forward the DCEU is now going to introduce us to Shazam!. Promos for the film have been gradually trickling out, but thanks to Total Film (via Daniel Richtman) we have some new images of Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, and Zack Dylan Grazer.

With all the latest DCEU heroes being so serious, I kind of love how Shazam! is embracing how much of a kid Billy Batson is. In some posters, he's texting and chewing gum, and here he's just drinking a soda like it's no one's business.
Contrary to other DCEU entries, Shazam! is said to be embracing the more comedic side of the superhero genre, much like Guardians of the Galaxy. Before the film even came out, the stars themselves have been describing the film as Big but with Superman.
With the movie set to come out soon, rumors are going around that a new trailer is dropping for the film this coming Jan. 19. It's about time as well. Shazam! comes out in a few months and the last preview we've had was the one from last year's SDCC? It's like no one learned anything from the late marketing of Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
Shazam! hits theaters April 5.
