Sasaki and Peeps Anime Reveals Hour-Long Premiere in Winter 24

With the Winter 24 season just a few weeks away, it was announced that Sasaki and Peeps will get an hour-long premiere this January.

Along with its premiere, the Sasaki and Peeps anime also got a new trailer that previewed its ending theme. More cast members were also revealed, along with its official release date.

New Cast Members Revealed for Sasaki and Peeps Anime

Sasaki and Peeps is an upcoming fantasy comedy anime by Silver Link, the studio behind shows such as Ragna Crimson and Bofuri.

This series may seem like an isekai at first as it features a protagonist who gains the ability to travel between worlds. Instead of being an isekai though, this is more of a fantasy comedy as it still mainly takes place in the real world.

Previously, the main cast members of the series were shared, including popular VAs like Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki in Gintama) and Aoi Yuuki (Tatsumaki in One-Punch Man).

Now, more cast members were revealed, and they include:

• Naomi Ozora (Hana Uzaki in Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) as Shizuka Futari
• Hiroki Yasumoto (Yasutora Sado in Bleach) as Viscount Mueller
• Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass) as Prince Adonis
• Daisuke Namikawa (Hisoka Morow in Hunter x Hunter 2011) as French
• Mitsuo Iwata (Itsuki Takeuchi in Initial D) as Marc
• Tessho Genda (Younger Toguro in Yu Yu Hakusho) as Sebastian

Also revealed is the show’s ending theme titled Aimai Girl by Aguri Onishi (Ayumu Uehara in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club)

Sasaki and Peeps to Premiere in January With One-Hour First Episode

The Sasaki and Peeps anime is the latest to follow the trend of having extra-long first episodes which has become more common over the past year.

For instance, Oshi no Ko had a feature-length premiere episode, which helped it get a lot of attention during the Spring 23 season.

As for the Fall 23 titles, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End along with The Apothecary Diaries also had extra-long premieres. Instead of one long episode though, these two shows released multiple episodes in one go.

It’s not clear if Sasaki and Peeps will get an hour-long first episode, or if it will simply air two to three in one broadcast slot.

What is confirmed is that the show will premiere on January 5, 2024. It is also confirmed to be released on Crunchyroll in the US and other select regions.
