Who Is Sanemi in Demon Slayer?
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the current Wind Hashira in Demon Slayer. We came to know of his painful origin in the Swordsmith Village Arc as narrated and shown through Genya’s perspective.
In case you didn't know, Genya and Sanemi are brothers who share a horrible past caused by demons and their violent father.
In the past, Genya and Sanemi were pretty close to each other, but after their mother turned into a demon and their siblings died one after the other, everything changed.
Worse, Genya accused Sanemi of murdering their mother in broad daylight.
This experience brought pain and trauma to Genya at such a young age, to the extent that he learned to hate Sanemi, especially after the latter decided to abandon him.
Sanemi then embarked on his journey of killing demons, as if he had no regard for his life. He eventually came across Masachika Kumeno, a real demon slayer, who recommended him to a proper trainer.
Eventually, Sanemi earned the position of Hashira after he survived the fight against Ubume at the expense of Kumeno’s life.
When Sanemi first appeared before Tanjiro and Nezuko, he gave the siblings a lasting impression.
He was the Hashira who drew his blade to stab Nezuko’s box. He was also the same Hashira who tempted Nezuko with his marechi blood.
This only shows Sanemi’s distrust and hatred toward demons, despite Tanjiro and Nezuko’s situation.
Why Does Sanemi Have No Eyebrows?
Out of all the Hashira in Demon Slayer, Sanemi has the most intimidating presence because of his facial features, his aggressive and harsh behavior, and his attitude toward demons.
But what makes him more intimidating is the lack of eyebrows on Sanemi’s face. Without eyebrows, one could not easily read Sanemi’s mood.
Whether he’s sad, happy, or angry, it’s difficult to determine just by observing his face without eyebrows.
Because of this, fans are coming up with different theories regarding Sanemi’s missing eyebrows. Some of them are funny, while others have an understandable point.

It hasn’t been confirmed why Sanemi has no eyebrows in Demon Slayer, but most likely, it's just the way Sanemi’s character design was drawn.

All in all, there’s no clear explanation for Sanemi’s missing eyebrows in Demon Slayer. Fans would have to accept or consider different theories to satisfy their curiosity at the end of the day.
