Since the release of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, there have been a lot of debates surrounding the fate of Mace Windu, the Jedi Master played by Samuel L. Jackson, as he seemingly died during Revenge of the Sith.

Most fans believe that the character has met his demise based on his final scene since he was flung from a window and it would be impossible for him to survive a massive fall.

There's also the fact that the character has not shown up again in any of the post-prequel trilogy projects and Lucasfilm has no plans anytime soon to bring back the character.

However, despite that, the actor still insists that his fan-favorite character is still alive somewhere in the galaxy.

Speaking with Empire Magazine, Samuel L. Jackson reflected on Mace Windu's final scene in Revenge of the Sith where he insisted that the character is still alive.

"HE’S NOT DEAD!!!" he said.

When asked whether he wants to do a Disney+ series centering on his character, Jackson responded, "EVERYTHING YES!!"

It is obvious from the actor's comments that he is still open to playing the character in some capacity and he still believes that he has not met his demise despite what the death scene may have shown.

However, if they decide to resurrect the character, it will create some logic issues and conflicts since he was not mentioned or featured in any of the post-prequel trilogy stories and it wouldn't make sense if he was hiding all this time if he's still alive.

There's no denying that a lot of actors would love to see Jackson play Mace Windu again in some way and perhaps they can still do it if they decide to make a prequel series and use the de-aging technology.

With Lucasfilm developing a lot of projects at the moment, there are endless possibilities for what they can do with Mace Windu. If they ever decide to bring back the character, we know for sure that Jackson will be signing on.

The Star Wars prequel trilogy is available to stream on Disney+.
