Rohan Kishibe is one of the most popular JoJo characters, enough that he got a live-action series and a movie recently. Following its Japanese release, it was announced that the live-action Rohan at the Louvre movie will be released soon on Amazon Prime.

What’s great about this announcement for JoJo fans is that it won’t just be limited to Japan, as Prime Video will stream the series in well over a hundred countries worldwide.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of Shonen Jump’s most unique and popular titles thanks to how weird and compelling it is. Even anime fans who haven’t seen the series yet are surely familiar with the various JoJo memes.

While the show’s popularity is thanks in large part to David Production’s anime, JoJo has gotten some live-action adaptations, the first being the Diamond Is Unbreakable movie by Takashi Miike.

That film may not have gotten a follow-up, but Part 4 character Rohan Kishibe soon got the live-action treatment in the form of a live-action mini-series which was followed up by a movie.

The TV drama consists of eight episodes, with the first three being released back in December 2020.

These were followed up by another three episodes in December 2021, then another two aired in December 2022.

Instead of getting even more episodes, the feature film Rohan at the Louvre was released in cinemas back in May, and it serves as a sort of follow-up to the TV drama.

Each episode of the TV drama is based on selected chapters of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe manga spinoff.

As for Rohan at the Louvre, this film is based on the manga one-shot of the same name which was made by Hirohiko Araki as part of a special Louvre exhibition.

What’s cool about the film is that it’s a sleeker and more subdued JoJo project visually. It also helps that the film was shot on location in the Louvre.

Although it won’t get a wide cinema release in the US, fans can at least look forward to the Amazon Prime Video release of Rohan at the Louvre on September 22, 2023.

The film will be streamed on Prime Video in 162 countries, including the US, Japan, France, and more.
