Rian Johnson's Star Wars Trilogy Finds its Producer; More Updates

Slowly, but surely, Rian Johnson's Star Wars trilogy is taking shape, and news has it that the films have already found their producer.

According to FromTheGrapevine (via Making Star Wars), Johnson's longtime producing partner Ram Bergman has confirmed that he has signed on to produce Johnson's Star Wars trilogy. He says:

"It's a dream. I'm having the best time in my life… I'm working with the best people, Rian Johnson and all the people at Disney and Lucasfilm… It's all about the work."

It's also worth noting that Bergman was also producer for Johnson for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Though some people may call the film divisive, the huge box office numbers are a testament to the film's quality.

Bergman continues to describe Johnson's trilogy:

"It's a completely new trilogy that writer-director Rian Johnson, my partner, is going to create… It's all new characters. Everything is new."

I can't tell you because we don't know yet. Maybe in two years; it's just in the early stages."

With the way Johnson was able to subvert all expectations with The Last Jedi, I can't wait to see what he has in store for his own trilogy. Knowing that Star Wars fans hate "new" things, I'm expecting some people to already be against Johnson's upcoming films. The good thing is, there's an equal number of fans who love Johnson's films, and I'd like to think that I side with that party of fans.
