Star Wars: The Last Jedi Is Now Available On Netflix

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has finally made its way to Netflix.

It's only been more or less half a year since The Last Jedi's premiere in cinemas, but according to GQ, it looks like the sequel to The Force Awakens has finally managed to hit Netflix this week.

Though the film is widely considered one of the most divisive films in the Star Wars franchise, Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi managed to wow critics, gaining a 91% approval rating based on 375 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. On Metacritic, the film gained an average score of 85/ 100, a number taken from 56 critics that indicates "universal acclaim."

Meanwhile, polls using scientific methods also came up with great results in terms of audience reception. CinemaScore randomly polled audiences during The Last Jedi's opening day and participants gave the film an average grade of "A" in a scale of A+ to F. SurveyMonkey and Post Trak also did a survey on the film, finding that the 89% of their participants gave the film a positive rating.

The film also did pretty well at the box office, it's $1.33 billion haul turning it into the 11th highest grossing film of all time.

However, despite its commercial and critical success, The Last Jedi isn't loved by everyone. Some Star Wars fans didn't like the changes the film brought to Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away. Not only did more traditional followers of the franchise hate newcomer Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) and her Canto Bight sequence, The Last Jedi detractors loathed how the film turned Luke into a jaded, cynical hermit on Ahch-To.
