Quicksilver Will Be More Mature in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

If there is one character fans are looking forward to seeing in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, it's Evan Peters' version of Quicksilver. The speedster was give show-stealing scenes in Days of Future Past and the poorly-received Apocalypse, so it will be fun to see what he's up to. However, fans shouldn't expect him to be the same old jokester from the past two films, at least according to Evan Peters.

The actor spoke with Screen Rant about Quicksilver and how he has changed since Apocalypse and Days of Future Past. Apparently, the character has grown up a bit and wants to do right by the X-Men. Of course, this doesn't mean he won't make jokes or have fun slow-motion scenes but he probably won't take a bite of pizza before saving people.

"He's definitely a little older and more mature, a little more subdued, sort of trying to make a, not a name but trying to do right by the X-Men and be a good guy and use his powers for good, so I think he's on that path at the moment."

Quicksilver will return in Dark Phoenix, along with Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Storm, and so much more. With the film mostly focused on Sophie Turner's Jean Grey and the struggle to control the Phoenix Force, we can probably expect Magneto's son to take a bit of a backseat. Not too much since he will probably be more important than Storm and Nightcrawler.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out on February 14, 2019. It's not yet clear if the film will continue the First Class tradition of being a period piece, though their short cameo in Deadpool 2 might mean no.
