There was Supposed to be a Dirtier X-Men Cameo in Deadpool 2

[THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR DEADPOOL 2]

The first Deadpool movie poked fun at the film's budget for not being able to afford more X-Men, but the group of mutants did have a small cameo in Deadpool 2. Quicksilver actor Evan Peters reveals that they shot multiple takes of their cameo, and that there's also a dirtier version of it out there.

Talking to CinemaBlend, Peters explains:

"We were shooting [X-Men: Dark Phoenix], and were like, ‘OK, we're going to do a quick thing for Deadpool 2,'… And I was like, ‘Oh, that's awesome!' I thought it was going to be at the end of the film, in the credits, like some sort of funny Easter egg thing. And we had a lot of different versions for when they open that door and turn to us. But the one they used was pretty chill, and was in the first half of the film, which I was like, ‘Oh, Jesus, that's kind of weird.'"

When asked specifics about the cameo, Peters replied with:

"Ummm hmmm… not really sure I can say. There was some fun, dirty stuff."

At best, we should be able to get a glimpse of these "dirty" scenes in the home release of the movie. It has already been confirmed that Deadpool 2 will be getting an extended edition, and it will be adding more humor and violence to the film. Who wouldn't want that?

As for X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the film is scheduled to undergo some heavy reshoots, and rumor has it that it will have something to do with changing the third act. Originally set to come out this November, Dark Phoenix is now looking at a release on Vanlentine's Day next year.

For now, you can catch a brief glimpse of the X-Men in Deadpool 2, now in theaters.
