Quentin Tarantino Prefers Tangled Over Frozen

With Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola giving hot takes on pop-culture, Quentin Tarantino has now been asked to comment on the next big thing—animated Disney movies. With all the Frozen craze that the sequel is bringing out, Tarantino says he still prefers Rapunzel's adventure Tangled more.

Deadline had talked to Tarantino about all the Frozen content he'll have to be consuming in the future, what with a child underway, and Tarantino said, "I'm a Tangled guy, so I'm going to really try to steer her away from Frozen on to Tangled… But it's the same group of people so they should be okay with it."

While Frozen is undoubtedly the more successful film, I actually prefer Tangled as well. I just think the story is written much better, and I actually love the songs more. Not to mention, it was the film that launched the new Disney Renaissance. It's kind of cool that Tarantino would say that he prefers this film.

Then again, it's totally on-brand for him to prefer the movie where the lead woman is barefoot.

For now, Frozen II has opened with the biggest box office weekend for a film ever. We don't know how well its box office run is going to last, but for now, things are looking good. There are actually some people who say they prefer the first movie, but I personally loved the more mature story that was given to the characters this time around.

Catch Frozen II now in theaters.
